Flood barrier in Janowiec rebuilt for over 16.5 million zloty

Modernization of a five-kilometer flood barrier on the Vistula in Janowiec has been completed. The structure had deteriorated, showing seepage and damage reducing its technical parameters. The barrier protects roughly 800 residents and agricultural land and infrastructure. Mateusz Balcerowicz, head of Polish Waters, stressed that resident safety is a priority of the investment.
