Government raises fines: single daily rate up to 10,000 zloty

On Tuesday, November 3rd, the Council of Ministers adopted a draft amendment to the Criminal Code prepared by the Ministry of Justice. It changes the system of daily fine rates — the lower limit of a single rate will rise from 10 to 100 zloty, and the upper limit from 2,000 to 10,000 zloty. With the maximum number of rates, the highest possible fine will be 5.4 million zloty.
