Indian-Chinese clashes on Arunachal Pradesh border continue
India-Tibet Border Police chief Gen. Shatrujeet Kapur confirmed that Indian and Chinese troops clashed at several points along the de facto border in Arunachal Pradesh in India's northeast. China does not recognize the McMahon Line that separates the state from Tibet. State Governor Pema Khandu downplayed the incidents, calling them not new, while the opposition Congress accused the ruling BJP of "rationalizing" Chinese actions instead of defending Indian positions. Twenty Indian and four Chinese soldiers died in the Galwan Valley clash.
