Old Cemetery in Łódź: over 200 historic tombs of manufacturers
The Old Cemetery in Łódź, established in 1855 at Ogrodowa and Srebrzyńska streets, covers 21 hectares and is one of Poland's most valuable necropolises. Families including the Grohmans, Geyers, and Scheiblers are buried here. The cemetery's jewel is the neo-Gothic Scheibler Chapel with a 37-meter tower, built in 1885–1888. The entire complex has been recognized as a historical monument.
