20-year-old from Trzcianka took out six loans for scammers: will repay over 830,000 zloty

A Trzcianka resident received a call from someone posing as a bank employee and was persuaded to take out successive loans ostensibly to protect his finances. Within days he took out six loans totaling 563,000 zloty, which he withdrew at ATMs in Pile and Bydgoszcz and personally handed 205,000 zloty to a courier in Pile. With interest, his debt reaches over 830,000 zloty. The 20-year-old reported the case to police on October 30.
