Man stabs colleague in face after drinking together, receives three-month detention

A quarrel broke out Saturday night in Kielce during a party between two men who had been drinking alcohol. The older man attacked his companion with a knife, wounding him in the face. The victim had 2.5 per mille blood alcohol, the attacker 1.6 per mille. A court imposed three-month preventive detention on the 43-year-old; he faces up to 20 years in prison for attempted grievous bodily harm.
