Grave of 13-year-old from 1939 marked for removal at Niewodnicy Kościelna cemetery
A red notice marked "for removal" appeared on the grave of 13-year-old Leopold Kendyś, who died at the start of World War II, at a cemetery in Niewodnicy Kościelna. The well-maintained grave with candles and fresh flowers sparked concern among residents after a photo circulated online around All Saints' Day. Multiple other headstones at the cemetery were marked with similar notices in red, orange, green and blue. When reporters from Fakt asked the local priest about the matter, he disconnected the intercom after one sentence and refused to open the door.
