229 people died on Polish railway tracks last year
Last year, 229 people died on Polish railway tracks — there were over 180 accidents at railway-road crossings and 219 incidents involving pedestrians crossing tracks in unauthorized locations. Railway worker Marika Wohlert from Gdańsk reminds that a train cannot suddenly brake or avoid obstacles. Experts point to disregard of regulations as the main cause of these tragedies.
