Drunk 16-year-old crashes parents' BMW while fleeing police in Gdańsk

On Sunday in Gdańsk, a 16-year-old took his parents' BMW Series 7 without permission and fled from a traffic patrol through Goplańska and Otomińska streets. He lost control of the vehicle, hit an electrical substation and overturned — the car skidded several dozen metres into a field. An alcohol breath test showed nearly 1 promille; blood was also drawn to test for drugs. The teenager was hospitalized.
