Crypto's biggest hack: Binance clients withdrew $3.6 bln after exchange resumption
After Binance resumed operations, clients withdrew $3.64 billion net in a single day — the result of the largest hack in cryptocurrency history in which assets worth $6.3 billion were stolen. The attack is attributed to North Korean group TraderTraitor (Lazarus Group), previously responsible for a $1.5 billion theft from Bybit exchange. Binance has already covered approximately 95% of lost funds, and the FBI released a list of wallet addresses linked to the hackers. Stolen funds continue to be actively laundered through thousands of cryptocurrency addresses.
