Vandal warrior near Hrubieszów: weapons and ornaments from 2,000 years ago found

The Hrubieszów Museum has recovered a collection of artifacts from a cremation burial of a Vandal warrior from nearly two thousand years ago. The findings include elements of weaponry, equestrian equipment and personal ornaments. Museum experts assess that the character of the objects indicates a person of high social status. This is another significant discovery from the region — a few weeks earlier, a metal shield boss from the 2nd century CE was found there.
