Belarusian journalist Biełsat spent 5 years in prison camp; husband still detained
Katsiaryna Andrejeva, a journalist at Belarusian TV channel Biełsat, was sentenced in February 2021 to two years in prison for treason but ultimately spent five years in a women's penal colony in Homiel. In an interview with TVN24+, she describes prison conditions and how she coped psychologically at age 27. Despite her release, she does not feel free — Aliaksandr Lukashenka's regime continues to hold her husband.
