S&P 500 posts worst day since June as Nvidia and Intel slide
The S&P 500 fell 1.82% to 7,580.07 on Friday, its worst day since June and third consecutive week in the red. Nvidia lost 4.2% and Intel plunged 28.6% after weak fourth-quarter guidance. The index breached support at 7,600–7,680, and analysts point to a possible further decline toward the 200-day moving average around 7,300. Concerns loom over a Fed rate hike and Tuesday's congressional elections.
