Chełm viaduct limited to 30 km/h due to falling concrete

A viaduct on Al. Armii Krajowej in Chełm has had its speed limit reduced to 30 km/h. The decision stems from the structure's poor technical condition — an inspection from mid-October confirmed its stability but revealed ongoing concrete deterioration. Parking has been banned beneath the object, and protective mesh screens will be installed to shield pedestrians. The city has announced protective measures and is seeking a permanent solution.
