US approves sale of 500 Patriot missiles to Ukraine for $2.1 billion

The US State Department has approved the potential sale of 500 PAC-3 MSE air-defense missiles for Ukraine's Patriot system. The transaction is estimated to cost up to $2.1 billion, to be financed by European countries and the European Union. This is another military support package for Kyiv from the West.
