Five charged in sweetheart scam fraud investigation in Katowice

Katowice police have concluded a months-long investigation into an organized criminal group defrauding people through sweetheart scams. The perpetrators impersonated bank employees and police officers, convincing victims their savings were at risk. The evidence gathered allowed charges to be filed against five suspects.
