US sanctions 11 people for laundering cryptocurrency for North Korea

The U.S. Department of Treasury (OFAC) sanctioned 11 people linked to a scheme in which North Korean IT workers operated remotely for Western companies and passed their earnings to the regime. Two Russian citizens laundered over 5 million dollars in cryptocurrency for North Korean networks; their wallets were identified and frozen.
