Bronze sword from 3300 years ago pulled from Italian lake: still sharp

Archaeologists have recovered a perfectly preserved Bronze Age sword from Lake Mezzano, about 100 km northwest of Rome. The weapon, dated to the 14th–13th century BCE, retains a sharp edge and may have been deposited as an offering to a god or in honor of a high-status warrior. It is the third such sword found in this lake in the past 50 years.
