Drugs from Egypt without prescription risk arrest: eszopiclone and codeine blacklisted
Egypt has placed eszopiclone (the sleep aid Night Calm, around 7 zloty per package) on its list of controlled substances — as of July, a prescription from an Egyptian doctor is required. Exporting the drug without a prescription is treated as smuggling and carries a prison sentence. The blacklist also includes strong painkillers, ADHD medications, benzodiazepines, steroids, and syrups containing codeine and pseudoephedrine (Congestal, Tusskan).
