European gas three times pricier than a year ago: winter bills up 600 euros

Winter gas contracts in Europe cost around 95 euros per MWh — nearly three times the average from the previous winter. For an average household consuming about 10,000 kWh from November to March, this means an energy cost increase of around 600 euros. In Poland, the scale of bill increases is not yet known and will depend on applicable tariffs.
