Sejm passes two abortion laws: decision now rests with Nawrocki

The Sejm passed two abortion laws: one decriminalizes assistance in abortion, the other restores the ability to terminate pregnancy due to serious fetal defects. Both now go to President Karol Nawrocki, who can sign or veto them. The decriminalization law passed by a margin of only 4 votes—decided in part by absences of PiS lawmakers, including Jarosław Kaczyński.
