Poland to submit request for over 6 billion euros from EU defense fund SAFE
On Friday, Poland will submit its first request to the European Commission for funds from the SAFE lending instrument, designed to strengthen defense capabilities of EU member states. The request amounts to over 6 billion euros, announced Deputy Defense Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka during a meeting in Brussels on Tuesday. This is among the first such requests submitted by member states under the new EU defense financing mechanism.
