Suspected Newcastle disease outbreak in Chełm county: two towns in infection zone
The District Veterinary Officer in Chełm designated an infection zone for suspected Newcastle disease (ND) covering Marysin in Rejowiec municipality and Ludwinów in Chełm municipality. The disease was detected in wild birds in the county. The zone requires poultry and other birds be kept in closed facilities, away from wild birds and animals from other farms. Poultry owners must also carry out disinfection and cleaning of animal housing areas.
