Seedlings from abroad: plant passport mandatory, fine up to 5,000 zloty

When bringing plants intended for planting from abroad, you must have a plant passport — a document confirming the absence of pests. It applies to, among others, begonias, monsteras, figs, saplings, shrubs, bulbs and corms. Failure to obtain one carries a fine up to 5,000 zloty. The requirement does not apply to people buying plants at a florist for personal use, provided the transaction is not commercial in nature.
