Midwife testifies in Poznań gynecologist trial: "Learn from his mistakes"

A trial of Prof. Dariusz S., a gynecologist accused of intentionally causing severe and irreversible harm to 24-year-old Wiktoria's health, is underway in Poznań court. The doctor removed the uterus, both ovaries, fallopian tubes and other organs before receiving the intraoperative biopsy result — the result indicated a benign teratoma and was ready after 29 minutes. Midwife Anna G. testified that the decision surprised staff, and a month later the doctor allegedly told a younger colleague to learn from his mistakes. The professor faces up to 20 years in prison; he denies guilt.
