Drying laundry on radiators: up to 2 liters of water released into air

When drying one load of laundry, up to 2 liters of water can be released into the air. Researchers from Glasgow School of Art found that drying clothes in poorly ventilated rooms can account for one third of all moisture in a home. Excess humidity (above 60%) promotes mold, dust mites, and allergies, and hanging laundry on a radiator impedes heating and raises energy bills.
