Ebola in DR Congo: over 10,000 cases, no approved vaccine
The Democratic Republic of Congo has reported over 10,000 cases of ebola and nearly 4,900 deaths. The epidemic involves the Bundibugyo strain, for which no approved vaccine or specific treatment exists. The lack of effective medical tools makes containing the spread of the disease far more difficult.
