Budanov rejected US proposal to resume Russian gas transit through Ukraine

Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner proposed during an October meeting in Florida that Russian oil and gas supplies to Europe be resumed through Ukrainian territory, according to French newspaper Le Monde. Ukrainian intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov reportedly "struggled to contain his anger," and Ukraine rejected the idea. Budanov allegedly told the Americans: "Our model is not Belarus, but Poland."
