Doctors' salaries in public health facilities: 248 earn over 1 million zloty
Civic Network Watchdog Polska sent requests on June 29, 2026 to 1,358 public health facilities asking them to disclose doctors' salaries for 2025. Only 12 percent responded — 161 entities. Among the data collected, 248 salaries exceeded 1 million zloty. The inquiry was prompted by a debate on healthcare wages, triggered by reports of a doctor without a medical specialty earning over 1 million zloty annually at Southern Hospital.
