Particle from universe's origin may explain why matter exists

A new study published in "Physical Review Letters" suggests that a hypothetical "right-handed" neutrino could have dominated the universe shortly after the Big Bang. This particle could have momentarily contained more energy than all remaining matter combined, accelerating cosmic expansion and delaying crucial interactions between particles. These conditions could have enabled matter to overcome antimatter and for anything to exist today.
