Israel elections: Eisenkot versus Netanyahu over new coalition shape
On Tuesday, Israelis vote in parliamentary elections. The main rivalry is between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot of the Yashar party. Netanyahu warns voters of a government including Arab parties, which in polls could win a combined 14 seats and decide the coalition's makeup. Eisenkot denies plans to cooperate with Arab parties, though parliamentary mathematics may make it impossible for him to avoid them.
