NIK warns: Poles' DNA sent abroad without knowledge or consent
The Supreme Audit Office warns that genetic material provided by patients for testing may be transferred abroad without their knowledge and consent, and the state does not know the full scale of this phenomenon. There is a lack of comprehensive legal regulations on this issue. Additionally, access to genetic counselling has deteriorated drastically — in some regions, consultations require waits of up to 488 days.
