AI detects pancreatic cancer average 475 days before diagnosis

A new artificial intelligence system called REDMOD can identify hidden signs of pancreatic cancer an average of 475 days before diagnosis on conventional imaging. The algorithm proved nearly twice as sensitive as experienced radiologists. Early detection of tumors may significantly improve chances of effective treatment for one of the deadliest cancers.
