Crisis at NBP: three vacancies on board and deadlock between Tusk and Glapiński

Starting November 4, the NBP board will lose the minimum number of members required by law — Adam Lipiński's six-year term ends and Marta Kightley left in March. Appointing successors requires the Prime Minister's countersignature, which Tusk has so far refused to provide, despite Glapiński requesting the President in February to approve four candidates agreed upon in a triangle of Glapiński–Premier–President. The Prime Minister has not yet decided how to handle the issue of President Glapiński and the central bank board's composition.
