Poland has only 40 F-16 pilots against minimum need of 70

Polish air forces have roughly 40 trained F-16 pilots while minimum requirement is 70, according to Rzeczpospolitej findings. The problem is structural: military pilot training takes years, so shortfalls cannot be quickly made up. The deficit becomes more severe given planned introduction of F-35 aircraft.
