Patient spent two days in storage closet at ER and died. Prosecution opens investigation

A woman named Maria spent two days at a hospital emergency department where she was placed in a storage room converted into an isolation room. Her son repeatedly alerted staff and the Ombudsman for Patients that his mother's condition was worsening, but to no effect — she died. Prosecutors and the Ombudsman for Patients became interested after Gazeta Wyborcza's publication.
