Deepfakes and Fake Voices: AI Fuels Arms Race Between Fraudsters and Banks
Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used by criminals to create deepfakes, forge voices and automatically find security gaps, says Greg Henderson, fraud prevention expert at SAS. Major U.S. banks are already detecting external AI agents on customer accounts, which in some cases took action independently of user commands. Financial institutions aim to stay just one step ahead of fraudsters and quickly close discovered vulnerabilities.
