Polish company Astronika tests deployment system for ExoMars rover
Astronika recorded initial test deployments of the European Mars rover using a Polish mechanism for lowering vehicles onto celestial bodies that will be part of the ExoMars mission. During tests, the Polish system was subjected to loads greater than those expected on Mars and performed without issues. Astronika expects to become a leader in producing such systems for Mars and lunar missions, as well as for other celestial bodies.
