Pakistan presses Taliban to act against fighters, rejects Kabul accusations
Islamabad called on the Taliban-led Afghan government to take verifiable action against fighters who, according to Pakistan, operate from Afghan territory. Pakistan rejected Kabul's accusations that Islamabad recruits Afghan fighters and denied that it is shifting blame to Afghanistan for its own security problems. Tensions between the two countries are rising amid a growing number of attacks on Pakistani territory.
