Xbox's new chief operating officer departs after three months

Helen Chiang, Xbox's first chief operating officer (COO), is leaving the company just three months after taking the role, despite spending 21 years at Microsoft. The COO position was created as part of a controversial "brand reset" announced by CEO Asha Sharma. Sharma informed staff of Chiang's departure in an internal memo on October 23 without stating reasons. Other Xbox leaders will temporarily assume her duties.
