Google links phone numbers to all Android accounts

Google quietly links phone numbers to all accounts on an Android device: adding a new SIM card results in its assignment to every logged-in Google account, and newly added accounts automatically inherit the stored number. Users with multiple Google accounts on one phone may be unaware of this linking, which raises privacy concerns.
