Polish Bishops on Abortion Law Changes: A Policy That Destroys
At the close of the 406th plenary assembly of the Polish Bishops' Conference in Zakopane, Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda sharply criticized abortion law changes in the Criminal Code passed by the Sejm. The KEP chair called the new regulations a policy that "does not build but destroys" and recalled that protection of the unborn is a "matter of conscience." The Church clearly opposes abortion law liberalization.
