Saft launches solid-state battery production for aviation

French company Saft, owned by TotalEnergies, has opened new production lines in Bordeaux for solid-state batteries. The technology delivers 50% better energy performance and is designed to meet the needs of electric aviation and the space sector. This marks a shift from research to industrial production.
