Discount store butter may come from same dairies as name brands

Butter under discount chain private labels is often produced by the same dairies as branded products — including Mlekovita, Polmlek and OSM Łowicz. Pilos butter from Lidl is said to come from Polmlek Grudziądz, and Mleczna Dolina from Biedronka from SM Mlekovita. Producer information can be found in small print on the label. The same producer does not guarantee identical recipes — the chain can order the product to its own specifications.
