PISM analyst: Europe not ready to replace US in Ukraine defense
Anna Dyner of the Polish Institute of International Affairs said in Teraz WP that Europe lacks military capabilities to quickly replace US support for Ukraine. For years European states enjoyed a "peace dividend" and did not invest in arms, a gap exposed by the war in Ukraine. Dyner believes Trump aims to declare the war over before his term ends, which may increase pressure on Kyiv—not necessarily on terms favorable to Ukraine.
