Japan launches first probe to collect samples from Mars and its moons

JAXA has launched the MMX (Martian Moons Exploration) probe to study Mars's moons Phobos and Deimos and return to Earth with rock samples. The mission is a collaboration with NASA and ESA. If successful, the samples will reach Earth in approximately 5 years and may help solve the mystery of the origin of Mars's moons.
