Three-toed woodpecker nests in Sudetes for first time in 130 years
A breeding of the three-toed woodpecker was confirmed in the Mały Śnieżnik nature reserve in the Polish Sudetes. This is the first such event in 130 years, which the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Wrocław called an "exceptional ornithological discovery". The information first appeared on social media and sparked considerable interest among naturalists.
