Man with axe broke into ex-partner's home and lunged at police officer
On Monday, October 19, a 58-year-old man violated a restraining order by arriving at his ex-partner's house in Kije gmina with an axe, having threatened her death by phone earlier. He forced his way into the basement, damaged the door, and swung the axe at an intervening police officer on the stairs. Officers subdued him with a stun gun—no officers were injured. The man also used the axe to damage a signal lamp cover on a police vehicle.
