Riots and protests in Italy: Polish woman from Calabria warns against travel
Italy is experiencing a wave of unrest — clashes involving hundreds of young people in the north, planned "17 October Movement" actions in major cities, and protests against high fuel prices in the south. Barbara Popardowska, a Polish woman who has lived in Calabria since childhood, says plainly: "Anything could happen at any moment" and advises against planning trips to Italy in the near future.

as usual the media discovers this stuff weeks after everyone living there already knew, of course. not surprised at all, fuel prices have been ridiculous for ages and nobody did anything about it so here we go. honestly at this point im just tired of being shocked by any of this, it all just keeps going in circles.
