Tourists turning away from Canary Islands over protests and prices

Foreign tourists are increasingly choosing continental Spain or the Balearics over the Canary Islands for vacations — and Spanish nationals themselves are forgoing trips to the archipelago, complaining about high flight ticket prices. Anti-tourism protests in the Canaries are further discouraging visits.
